The AeroGarden Sprout LED review is a small model kit that contains everything that you need to get started. It makes a beautiful gift! For those who wish to grow plants such as yummy fresh herbs, salad leaves, tomatoes and charming flowers all within the home or office environment.
2020 will go down in history as the year of the pandemic lockdown. We miss going out and doing all the activities such as walking in the park, going to the beach, shopping, taking the children to school, going to restaurants or the movies. Such activities keep us fit and healthy and prevent us from developing mental issues.
Lockdown procedures to help control the spread of COVID19 within our communities in Australia and some parts of the world has changed our lives drastically. We are so used to being social and our daily activities such as going to church, daily exercise, restaurants or family outings have added to mental health issues and domestic violence.
Indoor Activity
Finding something to do during this challenging time has been difficult for many people who are so used to being active outdoors or within their community. I feel that there is one indoor activity that can be done within the home and also enjoyed in schools, colleges, universities, restaurants, and businesses and company offices. The possibilities are endless, from school experiments in science to learning how to cook with fresh herbs and vegetables to enjoy a bunch of flowers in the office.
The ability to grow plants indoors is good for our mental attitude, it helps to keep the brain stimulated, interested, exciting, satisfaction and has a calming effect on people. Watching a seed sprout, grow, bloom or ripen like the fruit of the tomatoes can be very satisfying for beginners or experienced gardeners, it is interesting to see the roots grow in the pod in a rich environment that has ambient lighting and water with organic nutrients, in this way, plants grow 5x faster.
Getting inspired to grow your plants all year round in your kitchen or office makes the AeroGarden a favourite indoor gardening activity at an affordable price. The AeroGarden Sprout requires less space than the bigger models, and its ideal for small, confined spaces.
Health Benefits
Healthy plants growing indoors can boost your self-esteem and is a great way to lower cortisol levels (stress levels). The AeroGarden is ideal for people who have mental health issues, including Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD), low Mood Disorders, Anxiety Disorders such as Autism, Post-traumatic Stress Syndrome or OCD.
Also, plants help to freshen and purify the air in our rooms. How? You say, well plants inhale carbon dioxide from the air around it and exhale oxygen. Imagine breathing fresh air from a plant!
Studies have shown that plants such as lettuce contain far more Vitamin C than those grown outdoors.
Other benefits include:

Step-by-Step to cleaning your AeroGarden Sprout LED
It’s essential to clean your AeroGarden before replanting, and you can use white vinegar or chlorine bleach. Personally, my preference is to use vinegar. It is much easier to use the pump during the cleaning stage. Run the pump for about 5 minutes. Rinse thoroughly with clean, clear water to rinse out the linings and pump for another 5 minutes after washing and wipe dry with a paper towel and let it sit for about 24 hours before planting your new seeds. Not cleaning the unit will run the risk of bacteria and root pathogens, including parasites spreading from plant to plant.
Conclusion
Growing flowers herb and salad leaves all year round in your home, office or restaurant is possible, especially in winter. I would not recommend the AeroGarden Sprout for large restaurants, but I will say it is ideal for a single person to a small family. It is also a perfect size for schools and colleges where students can monitor their agricultural or science projects. The AeroGarden unit does not need a lot of looking after, water and nutrients are the essential ingredients, pruning and checking for bacteria, rotten plants and parasites and cleaning.

You said it, Yvonne. The biggest positive of growing green plants indoors is the psychological factor. It feels so good to have fresh greens all around. I have four places in my house which are totally green and make great places to sit. In fact, I am sure the entire home is full of fresh fragrance as a result of green plants.
Thanks for this awesome idea of growing stuff indoors.
Luv,
Aparna
Thank you for your response Aparna. Growing plants indoors has great benefits for people. It’s essential during our lockdown we have a small hobby such as having an indoor garden where we can sit, read a book, enjoy the greenery. I’m so happy you enjoyed reading my article and enjoyed the idea of growing plants indoors. It is a great way for family bonding and having friends over for dinner to enjoy the fruits of your AeroGarden.
Hi Yvonne,
I too have grown interested in having my own plants. It started with one, and 3 months later I have 4 indoor plants. Hahaha. It’s nice to sit down, have coffee and admire the plants at times. Therapeutic.
Growing herbs has been on my list, but I’m not sure if I would be great at it. The Aerogarden sounds like a great start for my mom and me. Thanks for sharing more details about it. Going to bookmark this page for future reference!
Hello, Sam thank you for stopping by and leaving a response. Growing herbs, lettuces and other veg are great in the AeroGarden. Imagine the fun you will have to watch them sprout and grow. It’s amazing!
I totally understand what you mean when you write that healthy plants growing indoors can boost your self-esteem.
I am an avid gardener an I know the sense of exhilaration and accomplishment you experience when you see all your efforts translate into these beautiful plants and flowers. I love sprouts, but can hardly ever find any good packs to buy at the supermarket. I will definitely try my hands at growing them with this AeroGarden Kit.
Hi Ceci
I’m so happy you find indoor plants can boost your self esteem. I totally agree with you. Growing your own herbs, lettuces, spinach or tomatoes indoors are much higher in nutrients than the garden-grown varieties, and they grow 5x faster in an AeroGarden.
